Day 5 of a 20 Day Binge. Alcohol

David Bowie's art and legendary lifestyle made it's impact on my life the first day I moved to San Francisco at 18 years old. Emulating his multi-personified romanticism and rebellious edge was a perfect dose of weird I needed to throw myself into San Francisco's notoriously bohemian culture. As I aged into my early 20s I realized that I had people like Ziggy to thank for my creative freedom. I could call out bullshit, dress in drag, go wild, and experience my modern love all because of the artists who gave their all. Now as I take another swig of my Moscow Mule, I am reminded that the fate of culture resides in the hands of artists like myself, dissatisfied and eager to stir the pot of societal norms. Thank you, David Bowie for your years of service and Getting us to the next level.
Tonight I drink to you.
